Restaurant D'Orleans

Directly opposite the old Salle d’Orleans is a yellow two-story building erected in 1809 by Antoine Angue. During the heyday of the Theatre d’Orleans and when the best folk of town thronged the Orleans Ballroom, this place gained its fame from the quality of meals served by Creole chefs. It was called the Restaurant d’Orleans and for years was in charge of Camille Adrien Dupuy who, in 1838 sold the lease to Gabriel Julien who also catered to the discriminating palates of the best people of the city for many years thereafter.
Orleans Grapevine was founded by the noted local business team of Pam Fortner and Earl Bernhardt. Lovingly renovated with it’s prestigious past in mind, the Orleans Grapevine continues the tradition by offering discriminating diners the best in fine dining and an extensive wine list in a beautiful, intimate, yet relaxed atmosphere.
